Chaos joined Ulfnag to eat the hare. She waited for him to take the first bite.

He took a small bite from the hare. It was a little cold, but it wasn't half bad, really.

Chaos also took a small bite. As she ate it, she thought that Ulfang didn't want unruly pups romping about; just him and his mate. She was just fine with that.

Ulfang really wouldn't mind pups too much. He just wasn't quite ready for such a big change. He was still getting used to having his mate. He had enough excitement for a little while.

Chaos finished eating, and went to tidy up the den. She straightened the bedding, and plucked out a few parasites. She looked at the ceiling, nice and sturdy. This den wasn't falling any time soon.

Ulfang thanked her for tidying up around the den, then he took out the leftover hare bones. When he returned, he put the rock into a crack crack in the side of the walls.

Chaos nodded to Ulfang, and lay down in the den. She folded her wings, and crossed her paws, laying her head on them. She closed her eyes with obligation.

Chaos stirred a little when he nuzzled her, but didn't get up. She sighed quietly.

Chaos thought of her previous life. All the trouble she caused, the hatred she endured. It was all finished with Ulfang.

Ulfang seemed to think the same thing. All of the grief he had was washed away by Chaos' appearance at the Beautiful Waterfall.

Chaos then thought of the way she acted when she first met her new mate. The unblinking red eyes she shot into him must've scared him. But, that was past them.
