Finally, they were out of the flaming woods. Ulfang flopped down on the cool grass, happy to leave the fire and ash behind.

Ulfang gave her a small lick on the check before he put his muzzle into her smoke-scented fur.

Chaos lay her head in her paws, nose tickled by the smoke. She let out a huge sigh. Her wing still burned from the sparks that had hit it earlier.
