What now?

Sylmin thought as she pushed herself upwards. She had just been awaken by a cool feeling on her back.

"Wonderful..." she muttered sarcastically. Apparently, it had started to rain since she had fallen asleep. She shook a mist of water off of her body, sighing.

There goes my nap.

A bouncy Cannan Dog pranced around. Her name was Toosie. Great! She thought. I love rain! She pranced around, laughing as the rain tickled her.

The rain had plastered a lot of her fur to her body, causing her to look unusually shaggy. She shook herself just one more time before looking around the valley, starting to wonder what time it was.

Toots saw a pile of mud. Hmmm... That'll make my fur hard to clean... Doing it anyway! She jumped into the mud pile.

"Well," Sylmin said to herself, "Not much of a point in standing around." She looked around for a moment longer before walking towards a large bunch of grass and weeds.

Tootsie rolled joyously in the mud. Suddenly her head shot up. Is that a dog, or a wolf?... Who cares, both are nice! She jumped out and headed to where Sylmin was.

Sylmin heard a noise from somewhere to her right and looked over to see another animal walking over. She wasn't either afraid or happy. In her opinion, it was better to actually meet the canine before forming opinions on it.

Tootsie bounced over. "Hi! What's your name? Do you want to do something? Or are you reeeeeally evil like some of those other dogs? You know, I don't care.. Do you want to be friends?...." Tootsie rattled on. Finally, " My name's Tootsie, sorry if I over-talked, I do it a lot. I'm really actually smart, but... yeah.... you just heard and witnessed it..."

Sylmin was slightly surprised at how fast the dog was talking. once Tootsie had finished, however, she only paused for a moment before she burst out laughing. "Hehe... Hi, Tootsie, I'm Sylmin. You seem pretty nice." she added, grinning.

"Cool! Whadd'ya wanna do? Of course, we have to stay away from the other wolves and dogs, but we could, like, roll in mud, but then it would be hard to get it out of your fur... Oh, oops. Soooo?" Tootsie had a half-embarrassed, half doggy-smile look on her face.

"I doubt a little mud would change my appearance too much, seeing as I'm mostly brown." she replied, smiling.

"Cool! I mean, I look brown, because I was rolling in mud, but I'm actually black and white, and *blah blah blah x1,000,000* " she said as they walked to the mud puddle she'd found earlier.

Sylmin stuck a paw into the mud. It slipped awkwardly into the ground, swallowing a few inches of her leg."Wow," she chuckled "it's a little deeper than I thought." She then stepped the rest of her paws into the mud.

Tootsie leaped back and then, running, jumped into the puddle. "Wheeeee!" she laughed, splashing mud everywhere.
