Shade's Emerald reappered inside the deepest part of the lake. Shade sighed and "sat down" in the emerald. Water bubbled up around her. Her voice carried out through the darkening world.

Chase the coyote (remember him? xD) wandered alone. he had grown up a bit. he is 13 teen now. he stood strong and proud, like an adult wolf. he howled proudly. he even sounded as free and strong as a wolf! weaken me, break me, batter me! yet you will never take me away!



he saw a beautiful shimmer in the lake. he lept down from his rock and peered into the lake. he saw a stone, with a wolf in it! he had grown fair and even, and he lept into the lake and dove as far as he could.

Shade's song ended and she watched as Chase dove in.

Chase dove deeper, feeling his air run out slowly, little by little. he swam bravely twored the emerald. he started to show little hints of blue on his face.

'the time the bravery will come opon you one day.......be brave! chase rememberd his maters words. (recognize the color? oh yes.. HE was his master. ) he pushed on word, the moment of truth was nie......

Cheza came from the shadows. Nobody saw her. She ran and jumped in. She dove downward, her course for Shade in the Emerald. Everlasting power... She dove to the bottom and walked on it! She smiled. "It's mine." She grabbed the emerald in her teeth, staring up at Chase. "Chaos Control," she said quietly. Some of the water pushed Chase and Cheza upward. When Chase popped up, he was immediatly trapped in a large whirlpool. She chuckled evilly. "Tell your master that Cheza has it. And he'll never get the Cyan Chaos Emerald." She swam out, but when she thought she was out of sight and wasn't, she dropped the emerald and snarled. "This STUPID eye!" She turned around so that Chase could see she had a human eye. She snarled and tore a hunk of fur out. Leaving it on the grass, she picked up the emerald and left.


Shade snarled while in the Emerald. "Put it DOWN!"
