Epona got up. her mouth driping with blood. she stood there. in attack posittion. her fur black in the night agenst the river. her eyes alight to the death of the deamon, who dares to attack the one she refers to as a pup.

Epona stood as starngly as in she were stoned in place. "fox, leave. you shouldnt die again. and this esnt your fight." 'oh how charming." the deamon said tountingly, 'getting soft now are we?" "grr shut your mouth you 'BEEP'!!"

Fox shook her head. "Just try and stop me."

'alright," said the deamon, "i really dont like killing pups but ok." the Deamon shot at fox, griping her neck.

Fox smiled. "Think you're so good, don't you?" she said calmly. She had gained strength and wisdom since her dream-meeting with the helpful spirit. She dashed to a nearby rock and pounded the demon with it.

Verv had a strange feeling. It was almost like she didn't want Fox to die. That's it. Time to act is NOW! She folded her wings and rammed into the demon full-force. "You will NOT be hurting either of them!"

"Vervanda!" Epona's target had changed corse. (guess who. )

Fox jumped up and stopped Epona. "She's trying to help," she said. "...I think"

meanwhile, the deamon had snuck up on Fox and attacked while she was distracted. "FOX LOOK OUT!!!!" Epona jumped at the Deamon. thunder clouds rolled in. a low grumbleing of thunder and flashing of lightning flashed acoss the sky.

the deamon was to quick and pulled its foot out of the way in time. it started to rain. and there it was. epona and the Deamon colided in combat. Epona tore some fur off of the deamons back and cheast, and the deamon bit at Epona's neck.

epona grabed fox gentley and softly thew her of, not wanting her to get hurt.

'Why must everyone think of me as a pup?!' she thought. She jumped up again, this time out of reach of Epona.
